The True Colors of Amanda Newton

“My eyes change colors,” Says Amanda Newton of her ‘Hidden Treasure.’ "From golden hazel to green depending on my mood or the weather.” Everyone has a treasure in them. And if they don’t know then its HTM’s job to find it. In today’s societal climate it can be hard to remember that about each of us as often it’s the darkside that dominates our vision. When beautiful girls like Amanda Newton come along, it brings to mind the many ‘natural’ beautiful wonders of the world.
Enthusiastically Amanda Newton tells of what makes her a one of a kind model when cultural diversity has become the new catch phrase. She is “half-Polish and the other half is a mixture of English, Irish and Italian.” “They called it the ‘triple threat’ during a radio interview: Beauty, Brains and Personality,” she tells me, “it’s rare to find all these qualities in a person and still be down to earth and humble.” Her no-nonsense attitude towards her profession is evident as she adds, “I also have a superb work ethic and at times fill in for other models that don’t. I take my profession seriously, this isn’t hobby for me to have some cute photographs to post on social networks; I’m aiming for something bigger and better. I am a strong business woman with an entrepreneur mindset. [I’m] going to use my modeling to take it to the next level- build an empire!” Well Amanda… I would partner up with you any day.
Having a business mind and a personality as a model are certainly stand out characteristics but what are her interests outside of modeling. “I have a Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design so anything creative her is up my alley,” Amanda says and I’m thinking I may give her a shot designing for HTM. What do you think? She loves photography, same as I with “architectural and nature” being favorites for both of us. “I was a jock’ette growing up,” continuing on about her other interests. “I’ve played everything growing up… but got into endurance sports such as marathons and triathlons in my more recent years. My biggest race thus far I have accomplished is a half iron man,” she says excitedly and I have no idea what that is.
Amanda got into modeling after tiring of being asked if she was one. When she decided to go for it, her work ethic was bond to keep her busy. How does she manage to maintain a personal life? “I mean, I am super busy making it difficult to have time for personal things. However, everyone is busy with their own lives and everyone that is important to me are all supportive and understanding. I am very focused and driven right now towards my career,” she says matter-of-factly. “Not having much time makes the moments that you do that more precious.” I couldn’t agree more.
I would have never guessed it but Amanda used to be the “shy, quiet, wallflower” that kept to themselves and out of the spotlight. “I even got made fun of lot,” she says further surprising me. All that changed when she became a model. “I had to learn to step out of my comfort zone,” she admits. “I had to develop self-confidence and excellent public speaking skills.” Along with this she also developed a “hard outer shell” and what she calls “hater blockers.” It becomes apparent through her answers that she is very perceptive, and this I really like. “Once you turn into a public figure the same rules don’t apply to the person you used to be or the life you had,” Amanda points out. “You can’t be naïve anymore. You learn about people as well… who is genuinely on your side or not… who is there for the ride and not just the benefits that come along with it.” Lessons learned.
As a Scorpio, Amanda has heard “we are the strongest symbol out of the all and amidst our hard crazy outside we have a sensitive emotional inside.” I wanted to know how much of her sign describes her. “I love water-we fall into a water sign-and I just discovered when Googling the traits; Scorpio is the eight symbol in the astrological system and it just so happens growing up my favorite number was eight; I always chose that for my jerseys… ironic!”
“My father [once] said to me ‘You may not agree with some of your life choices Amanda, but you’re my daughter and I will love you no matter what.’ I’ll never forget that conversation. I was driving across the country to the west coast for a shoot and as soon as he said that the waterworks started flowing so bad I almost had to pull over.” Her sensitive, emotional side coming alive. “That was my moment of the most unconditional love I ever felt!” Family and friends seem to be important parts of Amanda’s world. She is still in touch with childhood friends, though she has lost a few “due to their true colors showing,” she says. Her true friends are currently the one who love her for her, not what she does. “They are priceless to me. They’re the ones rocking TEAM AMANDA shirts.”
Amanda has a real love hate relationship with “men.” On the one hand they offer compliments like “Your beauty and personality is a rare gem that surpasses all women and puts you in a class of your own” then they could just as easily ruin a date by being a “Total D-Bag or tool!” Lately she has begun to notice that many are intimidated by her sexiness. “It honestly makes me laugh because I don’t feel like this hot shit on a pedestal,” she admits. “I still feel like the same Amanda I always was on the inside.”
Since she is clueless as to why she intimidates some men, what would be her definition of beauty? “Grace, elegance, aesthetically proportionate; strong woman in all three physically. Mentally, and emotionally; good heart, compassionate, and humble.”She is certainly sexy and beautiful with a body that is either all natural or she works hard for it. Amanda laughs at this as she explains it’s a mixture of both for her. “A good way to put it I suppose is I have a good foundation of genetics and need the gym to fine tune’em.” She says her most admirable traits to both men and women are “my ability to keep it real and sense of humor.” I personally suspect guys may admire her more physical traits. No worries though, Amanda knows how to deal with them. “Find out their hidden fetishes and fantasies and play into those. Be sexy and classy without showing too much [smiley face].”
Amanda would love to see the economy improve, “the war to be over and people return to their loved ones,” and lastly in this world, “enough animal shelters built and funded to stop euthanasia due to overcrowding.” Sounds like the American prison system too. Anyway I have to acknowledge that this was in reality a great interview. Amanda is a colorful personality I would be happy to consider a close friend but we know I can be… difficult. What gift could I offer this vibrant girl should I mistakenly offend the dear lady? “Whoaaa… ,” she responds animatedly, “a gift might not fix things…” Oh boy.
