New York's Sexiest Hidden Treasure featuring Tehmeena Afzal
Usually when you think of car sales a vision of some college kid or sleezy over aggressive guy in a bad suit makes its way into your mind. So yes I was stunned to find one of the few exceptions came in the form of this sex symbol from NY. Tehmeena is obviously not your typical model. She comes off with a sense of down home yet other worldly charm.
Born and raised in Queens, currently she lives in Long Island nevertheless she reps Queens emphatically. She loves to eat in Lower Manhattan’s Little Italy where eating is a passion and a pastime. Tehmeena is a true New Yorker. She loves everything about it and fully recognizes the fact that she gets to live in the one place everyone wants to visit.
Originally a tomboy who played softball in college on an athletic scholarship, modeling was something that was constantly suggested to her by many alike. She stayed in college eventually earning a bachelors degree in graphic design while playing softball as a pitcher. I can think of a dozen jokes about girls and softball but I’ll cut her a break.
Once done with college and softball she decided to try modeling. Her ethnicity and exotic looks came in high demand because it set her apart from the other models. She also has something in her past that further separated her from the rest, she actually ran an award winning mixtape website a few years back. Of course she developed a ton of connections in the industry. But only through her modeling did she get to meet her biggest connection yet….. HTM.
HTM: Tell our readers something about yourself they would not have expected, name your 'Hidden Treasure'?
Tehmeena: My hidden treasure is that I’m a car saleswoman. I’ve been selling cars for almost 3 years now and I’m actually really good at it!
HTM: At this magazine we place an emphasis on culture, nationality and personal heritage, where does your family hail from?
Tehmeena: My family is from Pakistan.
HTM: Name some companies you would love to work with?
Tehmeena: I would love to work with my favorite clothing companies such as Bebe, or Marciano/Guess. I love their clothes and their ad campaign
HTM: What motivates you?
Tehmeena: My biggest motivation is my son. I want him to have everything I didn’t and he is the reason I work so hard at everything I do!
HTM: Do you find it hard to balance your career with your personal life?
Tehmeena: Yes, very much so, not only do I model but I sell cars full time and I have a 5 year old. It is very hard to balance everything but things seem to work themselves out in the end.
HTM: Name your favorite venues and cities to party in.
Tehmeena: I love the clubs in Atlantic City and Vegas!
HTM: What can't you live without?
Tehmeena: I can’t live without 2 things, my cell phone and car.
HTM: What kind of girl were you growing up?
Tehmeena: I was into sports, a tomboy, quiet and very into my schooling.
HTM: What has changed since becoming a model and public figure?
Tehmeena: I just get recognized wherever I go, but life is still the same and I am still the same person I was before it all.
HTM: Name the one thing you would love to see happen in this world.
Tehmeena: I would love to see all nationalities unite and just get along. No racism and no hate would be the best thing that we can have in this world.
