“I was born in a super-d-dooper small town in Tennessee called Brownsville,” says Mindy Stoots. I pause. When a girl describes her place of birth as ‘super-d-dooper small’ it makes me wonder how she views the rest of the world in comparison. After our interview I felt she saw the world as place she could be herself. A place where a small town girl can grow up to become anything she wants. Including a model.

She is cute and with out question; sexy.I  have a few things I want to know. So I ask.

“There are a lot of models in the industry; why are you a 'HiddenTreasure?'” “I am a Hidden Treasure because I am from lil’ole Tennessee!  Not many people here think that they can live out their big dreams and goals.  Just because they don't live in CA, NY, or FL, they just give up!  Living in Tennessee makes me try even harder, because I know that one day I will really get out what I have put into my hopes and dreams so far!" How prolific. She is such a feisty little kitten. My questions continue.

It’s so easy for an aspiring model to tell you what makes them special; I decide to switch it up. Plus you know I like to keep’em on their toes right? So I pose the question, “Name the one thing you would love to see happen in this world.” “I am hoping that in my lifetime I will know that there is a working cure for cancer,” she begins then finished with, “there are so many people that have to fight against this terrible disease and end up losing.  I lost my Mom and sister both to cancer.  Finding a cure is one thing I would love to see happen.” I feel her. I recently lost family to cancer as well.

Ok Mindi. Maybe this is getting a little dark. Let’s try to keep this light. “At this magazine we place an emphasis on culture, nationality and personal heritage, where does your family hail from?” “I have a lot of Indian in my blood!  I was born in TN... But everyone else in my family was born in Chicago. I am told ALL the time that I have the cutest, sexiest southern accent ever!”

When I asked her how long she has been modeling she told me two years then added, “I’ve shot with sooo many excellent photographers and look forward to shooting with many more!” I may have to hook her up with the flashiest click. As for the companies she would love to work with. Mindi is quick to reply, “Victoria Secret and Playboy. They should contact me! :)”  With a body like hers, I bet they will. 

“Your body is ripped,” I say.  “Do you workout a lot?” “Honestly; not as much as I probably should.  I have always had great legs, arms, and butt from doing cheerleading and ballet for over 8 yrs. I do workout cram sessions before a shoot though... hehe! I am blessed with a great butt, I have to admit!” says an exuberant Mindi.

Her energy is intoxicating. She is the type girl made for sharing first time experiences. I’d love to see her face the first time she saw, heard or tasted something new. And I don’t care how sexy she is. I would take her hand and set out to discover new things:  A search for ‘hidden treasures’ if you will.

Along for the adventure, yet with no desire for fable, she tells me very clearly, “I'm not really into romance! Candles, pssshhh... Roses on the floor... NOOO!  Is wine romantic?  Cuz that's about as romantic as I can handle.  I'm more into just having...fun.” I don’t quite do the whole roses on the floor bit but, I do like candles and loads of fun. Somehow I think we can come to a compromise. “Do you find that men are intimidated by your level of sexiness?” I ask while looking overher fit outline. “ UMMM... nah... I think that most guys will talk to me because I don't come across as stuck up. I’m very down to earth and will carry on a conversation with anyone!  If for some reason they were intimidated at first, they always admit to it because they are surprised to find out how normal I really am.”

Mindi is type of model I like to meet in this business. It makes a typical work weekend transform into incredible memories. “I work hard and play harder!  There are soooo many seconds in the day and I don't waste a single one!” she says about balancing her career and personal life. For Mindi it presents no difficulty.

“What do you think guys like and girls admire about you most?” With a directness that I consider rare she answers, “I definitely think that I am admired by guys and girls both! I think that both sexes appreciate my sexiness more because I am natural!  NO surgeries necessary!  That's something you don't see everyday.  Oh... and my butt!  :) LOL” Yea, I too have to admit, she does have a cute butt. I’d like to… oh… uhhh, never mind.  Let me get back to this interview.

I know that being a model can have its effect on a girl’s life so I ask, “What has changed since becoming a model and public figure?” “I have definitely realized who my true friends are!  I have noticed a lot of love and support from most, but with all the positive vibes unfortunately comes some negativity...also known as jealousy.  I just let them hate... all they do is watch…  How boring!” is Mindi’s answer.

We all know what to do with haters. Let them rest in peace. Now let’s have a moment of silence……

To get her away from the haters I want to take her to her favorite city to party in. “I love hanging out in Memphis, Tennessee honestly!  Lyndsay, my best friend in the world lives there!”Mindi says. For a second a slightly advanced thought crosses my mind: Hmmm…I wonder if Lyndsay would join the fun?  Haha. Mindi then adds, “We can have FUN anywhere though!” and I get excited.

Since I have fun on the mind as opposed to the romantic stuff that occasionally consumes me, I just think about us having a good time and I ask, “If I were to invite you to a weekend getaway, your choice, where would we go?” “Let's go to California!” she commands, “I love California! Any city there and I feel so ALIVE!...  Come'on!” And soon I find myself searching for comfortable California accommodations for two.
