A good interior designer is often much more than just an interior design expert, as Amy Lau demonstrates over and over again with her beautifully composed living room designs. She is clearly influenced by modernism and her passion for abstract art but her designs are so different it is only their refined details and degree of internal consistency that show them to be the work of the same interior designer.

Design - Architecture

To be fair, the ‘hand’ doing the crafting is in fact the extremity of a robotic arm, in turn connected to a highly advanced computer construction – still, the effect is incredibly convincing: these bricks look like they were manually stacked by someone with a great deal of time and expertise on their hands, able to curve them not just in a two-axis wave but in a complex three-dimensional fashion.

Bruno Catalano’s bronze sculptures have one thing in common: they’re drawing a blank, literally. Where there should have been a body, a shirt or an arm there’s, well, nothing. Regardless of whether one calls the series by its original name, “The Travelers” (“Les Voyageurs” in French), or as sometimes suggested, “In Search of Missing Pieces”, the viewer always has to fill in the blanks.

Hello people. This is as fresh as it gets. I just woke from one of my rare dreams (rare because I almost never dream); laptop never far as always ready to take on more abuse and here we are. The dream was perfect (and dry for that matter) but it did include a beautiful girl: a girl like the angelic Brit Bliss. This was no imaginary girl and it wasn’t some celebrity model fantasy. This was a girl that exists in my life and I am indeed attracted to. Which brings me to this revelation; some dreams are best left unrealized. Reality can be too sour to preserve the essence of a perfectly sweet dream.
